Northeastern Snow
After a huge snowstorm hit New York yesterday, the streets have been covered. But Because it's New York, shovelers, along with the sanitation department, cleaned up this mess as soon as possible, leaving the sidewalks and streets cleared in no time. The record breaking fact is that it left roughly 12 inches of snow to make it the most accumulating amount since 1925. Over the past few weeks, it has snowed so many times that locals are getting tired of it. Snow can be fun, but at the same time can end up in a disaster, especially for the people who commute from Long Island. This leaves mostly nobody to be satisfied.

freakin' snowday on the one day we don't have school
UhHUh, yeah. We get a snow day on the ONE DAY WE DON'T HAVE SCHOOL. Originally, it was parent/teacher conferences and there was no classes. But we get a snow day on THIS particular day. Watch as there will be no snow day tomorrow.

The moment
I quickly grabbed my jacket from my locker and nervously walked outside to the townhouse next door. I knew that I did not have time to grab some lunch, so I was hungry at that time. I approached the front door of the townhouse. The entrance was locked, and the only way to get in was to use the intercom, which I did not know how to activate. My heart pounded even more. Fortunately, a well known teacher of mine was inside the house, and nicely opened the door for me. She told me that the office was upstairs, so I thanked her and went up. My heart would have been beating faster, but she calmed me down as I arrived at the second floor. I quickly saw a huge, president-like office. In the office was the head of the school having a meeting with the upper school director, whom I loathe, deeply. I looked away, shyly as I walked toward the receptionist who told me to sit down in the hall and wait for their meeting to be over. It felt like a doctor's appointment. My heart beating, nervous; the smell; the atmosphere; the magazines purposely displayed neatly; the silence.
The meeting continued for quite a long time. When the upper school director walked away, I knew that my heart was beating faster, because it was my turn to have the meeting, and it was at this moment. The head of school, Steve, stood in front of his door with his hands in his pockets.
"howdy!" he said joyfully.
Mahogany colored interior; huge comfortable-looking desk chair; portraits of past senior pictures in a row; rich plants; a vast collection of books. It looked like the White House. Well, he is the head of the school. I was nervous. I couldn't even talk as fluent, when he immediately told me:
"Do you know why you're here right now?"
"Well, since I'm a junior now and close to going to college, I thought you'd ask me about my future." I said nervously.
"nah, that's part of it" he said. "You're just here so I can get to know you a little bit more."
I felt somewhat relaxed. During the meeting, there were some questions he asked that stumbled me, but went pretty well, nonetheless. The one question that he asked that will always remain in my mind:
"what do you think you would do with your life?"
I don't know. Life is unpredictable. What would you do?

Meeting with the head of the school... tomorrow
I have my meeting with the head of the school tomorrow. I am sort of nervous, considering that I am actually going to have an actual meeting with him! one on one. It's not like I am in trouble or anything; just a meeting about life, I guess. I know that the moment I walk into his office, I will feel unnecessarily nervous, but I'm sure it'll turn out just fine. Classmates who have already had their meeting said that you have an opportunity to ask about ANYTHING to him. Personally, I do not know what to exactly ask him, nor will I come up with a reasonable question during the meeting. I might just talk to him about general stuff. But not too general, or else he would take me as an indecent student. Gosh, I'm getting nervous by the minute.

KARA
KARA, the sensational KPOP idol group, has been having difficulties with DSP Entertainment. I heard it was because DSP has not been treating them with the utmost respect. One parent of a KARA member states that it is ridiculous that they make the members sleep in a sauna. Several issues are being held. 3 of the 5 members are vacillating either to terminate their contracts with DSP or stay with their team. Leader, Park Gyuri, with the aid of Goo Hara, mentions that they cannot split up, and if one leaves, everybody fails. They mention that they cannot be let down. Perhaps DSP might not be the right entertainment company for KARA. Hopefully, KARA will be able to continue. I am a huge fan of them.

Hey
I apologize for this semi-hiatus. I have not been able to keep up with myself lately because of all the work I need to do. But since it's finally the weekend, I felt like a post would be nice.
Today has been somewhat of a good day. In school, I impressed classmates after showing a Cinematic Self Portrait, made an accidental, but very fine mug in pottery, and a lot of little things.
Haruki Murakami's The Wind-Up Bird Chronicles seems pretty interesting. I'm planning to read it. Heard so many positive reviews/praises. Murakami seems to have his own style of writing, leaving the reader mystified in so many levels. His books 1Q84, Norwegian Wood, Dance, Dance, Dance, and so many others are examples.
This week was tough and going to be tough the next week, but will, one day, be worth it.

Poll
Thank you to the four people who voted on the poll. All four voted for medium-long hair so I will keep it in that length. Thanks for your suggestions. The new poll has been posted! Answer if you can!

Happy New Year!
Happy New Year Everyone!
2010 has been great. It taught me so much. It, in fact, was the key step towards my life. It taught me so much; so many ideas, it's inestimable. I learned how to solve the 3x3 and the 4x4 Rubik's cube in 2010, as well. 2011 thus will be a harsh year, I can tell. It's the year when I'd have to start thinking about my future career and life and soo much more. Joy.
This is me yesterday just after New Years with sparkling cider.
皆さん、あけましておめでとうこざいます!これからもよろしく。2010年はいっぱい覚えることがあったが、2011年はもっと大変になるのがもうわかっている。でもがんばります。写真は俺です。ワインじゃないから大丈夫だ。
