Using zero as a number in sports

For sports players, the number zero can both be of negative and positive value. One may suggest that this number represents nothing since it's ZERO, and we all know that zero means zero, and has no value.

But others might suggest that this number does value its invincibility. Take for instance, multiplying with zeros. No matter the number it is being multiplied by, zero always wins. No number can win against zero. 4x0=0, 14x0=0, 12341234x0=0, etc. So some players might consider this and use zero.

Also, zero might be considered as the beginning, since this number isn't big or small; it's simply just zero. Despite the meaning of the beginning--zero--players might use it.
