Hey there everyone! How's tricks?
Still Tuesday huh.. not even halfway through the week. Endless hours of studying and all that jazz.
With my backpack I walked back to my dorm on a tranquil, chilly night. Crickets were continuously crying as they hid amidst the bushes, and at a distance, occasional cars with their bright headlights slowly cruised along the little road. Surrounding the path I walked were a row of mercury lamps. The last lamp I walked past had a tendency to blink out every time I came near it. Why, I had no idea.
Anyway, something that really annoys me are wobbly tables. I never really thought about it, but it actually really matters that the table is stable and it is extremely annoying if it isn't. Don't y'all agree?! Because I was in the library today to get some work done, and found out that the table was wobbly as it moved to and fro whenever I rested my arms. I moved to another location, but, as unlucky as I may be, I sat down on the chair, and realized seconds later that that table was wobbly as well. What the hell. But at that point, I didn't care anymore, not that I needed a table to read anyway.

Weekend, work, laundry
Another day in college. A chunk of readings and papers-- midterms are approaching as soon as I know it. Ugh I don't like...
The weekend is finally here!! Yeah!! What is there to do in a place right smack in the middle of nowhere?! You see, if I was in the city right now, things would be so much more convenient.
I actually did my own laundry today.. It was my first time doing the tedious task of making three trips to the laundry room, putting my clothes in the washer and the dryer, and folding them in the end. It went smooth.. (Y)
Not to be so narcissistic and all, but here is what I wore today.. LOL.

Close to 60mph winds tonight... a tornado watch, along with the potential for severe thunderstorms. It's already thunder stormin' hurrr. Tree leaves rustling to and fro, making the sound of street cleaners.
You see how y'all can tell I'm a city slicker? Relating the sound of the wind blowing the tree leaves to the sound of street cleaners... the first thing that comes to mind.
PSY's Gangnam Style on the stereo system. I lay down on my bed, hands behind my head, intently staring at the dull ceiling. Before I knew it, I springed back up and started dancing.
Op... op... op... op
OPPAN GANGNAM STYLE
EYYYY Sexy Laydayy~~
"Hey," one of my suite mates said, clutching his water bottle.
"What," I said.
"You should totally do the dance around campus."
I laughed. "That would actually be pretty freaking hilarious."
"I double dare you," he said.
Should I?! LOL nahh

On living in a suburban college
Wuddup y'all. Workload increasing.. More and more sleepless nights ahead. But hey, I'm gonna ace through everything so it shouldn't be such a bad thing.. Just gotta remember to stay on the bright side of life and never look down upon things. Work through those essays, get cracking on those damn long readings, and it all should be pretty easy. Time management-- the only thing you basically need. It's like that saying, work then play. Although I quite often do the opposite.
Most of my days I just sit back, relax, and gaze out the window while munching on a snack with a Norah Jones album playing on my stereo system. Sometimes I'd hear one of my suite mates practicing his acoustic, while, at other times, the place is devoid of any sound whatsoever since I dorm in an area right smack in the middle of nowhere. Bushes, trees, and the like. Because the insulation here is pretty terrible, I could oftentimes hear a person's obnoxious cough either next door or below my floor. At night I'd hear crickets, and in the late night, I'd look out the window from my bed and see the stars populating the twilight sky. Such is the life I am living thus far, in a suburban college.
It's interesting to note how I go to a suburban college. Because I have been living in the city all my life, it's a pretty different experience for me to live in a place where there are very few stores around campus. Studying in a place where there is literally nothing around, however, can be a good thing since all there is to do, besides chilling, is to basically study, unlike the city where there are tons of attractions one can easily be distracted to.
A suburban college can also be a better place to study due to its quiet, hushed environment. Bustling cars, buses, and people are prevalent in the city. People are constantly rushing to and fro, and it sometimes seems as though there is not a wide open space for yourself since most things are clustered.
But the suburbs are a place to appreciate nature. I can't hear the cry of crickets as clear in the city nor can I clearly see the stars sitting atop the pure sky. It's a place where nature is most commonplace. It's important to take the time to realize that yaknow?
But whatever the case, I will always prefer the city. Haha.

Dream about Eggs
I dreamed last night... about fried eggs.
I was holding a bunch of plain white eggs in a container. I was at my old high school... why, I had absolutely no clue. All of a sudden, the container got hot, and the eggs turned into fried eggs. I placed the container down, plopped on a chair, and gazed out the window..
I woke up.

Getting more and more work by the day... ugh.
Actually got a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich as my breakfast this morning. Though if you look on the top right corner you can see that muffin...
Something that really grinds my gears is having to wake up mad early almost everyday. All my classes basically start around 830, latest 9. The feeling of waking up from my alarm is so unpleasant. Screw dis yo.

greetings from college
Finished the first week of school, and already starting the second. So far the workload has been pretty okay, but I absolutely know that it will accumulate like mad. Overall, though, it's been pretty okay here. Now about that incident...
It was the first night of college. I had a pretty long day so I took a shower. It was pretty late actually, around 2. The dorms, in general, are poorly constructed. So I got in the shower, turned the handle towards warm, and washed all the dirtiness away from my body. Because the water was still cold as fu**, I continued to turn the handle towards warm. But all of a sudden, the shower handle got stuck, and the water started to get hotter and hotter by the second. So hot that I had to literally step out of the shower, and just stare at the boiling hot water rush out the shower head. I was in total shock, unable to figure out just what to do. I blankly stared at the shower. I tried to turn the handle off, but it just wouldn't move at all. What da fuqqqq. Are you kidding me. Seconds later, the fire alarm/smoke detector went on, and everybody in my suite had to evacuate to the hallway. Surprised, I quickly wrapped a towel around my waist, put on a t-shirt, and went to the hallway. All this time I was soaking wet, my hair dripping with water. I told all of them that the alarm went on because of the shower. They were all like what da hell...
Shortly the university police came and took down my info. "You aren't in any trouble," he said with a smile. "Welcome to college".
Ugh, so thus was my first late night college experience... I feel like I would never forget it, unfortunately.
So the days went by.. Been eating too much junk and not been working out. Need to work out legit..

College
Arrived and set up most of my stuff in my dorm like 2 days ago. Not everything is settled, but as of now, I am now a college student. Right now I am sitting at my desk, in my dorm. Things are very different here-- there's nothing around but trees and bushes, and airplanes flying by fairly low, its engines roaring through the windows. A pain sometimes when I'm trying to sleep. Haven't gotten a chance to really explain how I'm here now.
Two days ago, in the early morning, I got out of my bed and got ready to leave my house. All my suitcases and boxes were ready to go. My mom served me a light breakfast, a meal that, for some reason, I couldn't finish. There were just two little waffles.
I got changed, and brought all my stuff by the door. I'm all on my own now, I thought, as I was staring at the stack full of things I was going to bring. My mom was there, smiling.
"I'm always on your side!" she said, as I hugged her. A faint tear welled up in my eye.
I wasn't a crybaby, so the tear immediately went away. My dad called, told me that he was downstairs with his car. My mom helped me unload my stuff onto the trunk. After, I said bye to mom, as dad and I departed. I looked back, my mom was waving at me. I waved back, smiling (DIDN'T CRY).
We got there pretty early-- around 30-40 minutes. Other freshman with their stuff were walking around. I had to climb three stories, in the heat, with all my heavy stuff, along with dads help (a little). No elevators. I was sweating like crazy, and was already exhausted. Once I got to my dorm room, I plopped everything in there, and looked around. Such a different place, I thought.
I made my bed, and assembled my desk light. I put my clothes in the dresser and left all the other things I didn't really need in the suitcases.
"Sean," my dad said. "I know that this is new for you, but it is something that you're going to have to get used to".
I was staring at the outside scenery; nothing but trees.
"I know," I said, taking my time. "I'll see what I can do".
I walked around campus, and instantly wondered where I was. Summer was over, and I was now in a place not so familiar to me. But hey, thats college at first, I said to myself.
more later.
