The Hearts and Eyes Choir and Okinawa American 30th Anniversary Celebration (ゆきわりそう&沖縄県人会30周年会)

What a remarkable and memorable night this was. The Hearts and Eyes Choir, a choir consisting of mentally disabled and physically challenged individuals, flew all the way from Japan to perform among thousands at Carnegie Hall in New York. With the aid of the New York Mixed Chorus, the Sign Language Team, the Urban Atlantic Classical Collective, and a few other singers, they have brought together a wonderful performance and an inspiring afterglow that we will all remember in our hearts. Members of the Hearts and Eyes Choir have made their lifelong dreams come true by singing together a fifth part of Beethoven's famous Symphony No. 9. Their dedication and commitment to this event is something to take as a huge accomplishment.

A celebratory dinner

Speaking of music, a few days ago was the Okinawa American 30th Anniversary Celebration. Among the performers was the renowned violinist, Ryu Goto.
